On October 25 2002 the Peshev Museum in Bulgaria is inaugurated.

The museum is located in the town of Kjustendil, in the house where Peshev was born in 1894. It is sponsored by the Embassy of Israel in Bulgaria.

The International Raoul Wallenberg Foundation (IRWF) has donated to the Museum a Commemorative Medal specially designed and coined as a tribute to the Bulgarian hero of the Holocaust.

The piece of art is part of a collection of IRWF medals dedicated to numerous saviours of humanity.
